Robert Sorby 842FLH fingernail range of Bowl Gouges have a longer grind than the standard range with the same deep flute which enables the efficient removal of shavings. The longer grind increases flexibility as it has a longer cutting edge for heavy profiling cuts, fine finishing/ shearing cuts on the outside of bowls.

Made from round High Speed Steel bar giving the strength needed when overhanging the tool rest when producing deep bowls. Robert Sorby signature ash handles are a delight to hold, matched with the tool blade to give comfortable balance for long periods of use.

Choose from the Robert Sorby 842FLH standard bowl gouge range ¼” (6mm) for smaller projects, ⅜" (10mm) possibly the most popular all-rounder gouge, and ½" (13mm) clearly for larger work.
