G&S Timber Joinery Department produce high quality bespoke joinery for residential and commercial projects. Servicing Penrith, Cumbria and national clients, our fully equipped workshop and skilled craftsmen manufacture bespoke timber windows, timber doors, timber stair cases, fitted furniture, traditional trusses.

All our joinery is made to the highest standards using traditional workmanship and attention to detail. We produce a wide range of hardwood mouldings and can match mouldings for restoration work on request. Turned work is also produced on the premises with our fully CNC controlled woodturning lathe.

Our time served craftsmen can produce a wide variety of hardwood staircases from the traditional to contemporary to match your requirements. Oak has proved to be the most popular timber used locally yet there are many other species to choose from such as Ash, Beech, Sapele, and Maple.

The stair in our showroom (image opposite) has glass balustrades, giving a very modern open look. However traditional spindle balustrades are not a thing of the past and we can produce any spindle from standard square-edged to intricately turned stair spindles. All spindles can be produced in our workshop to your exact requirements.
