Goldfield Burrs

Australian gold field burrs, or burls, there are over 100 types of goldfield burrs with the most common being the Rib Fruted Malee and York gum we do have and get other varieties like salmon Gum and Red Malee.

These burrs are very dense with an average weight of 1000 kilos per cubic meter perfect for turning into one off bowls and platters with the natural edge.

The burrs can be turned on the lathe to a very high finish with stunning grain and every piece is totally unique.
