About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Bench Joiner to join our busy and growing workshop team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality bespoke joinery items from detailed drawings and specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture and assemble bespoke joinery items including doors, windows, staircases, cabinetry, and furniture
Work from technical drawings, cutting lists, and job sheets
Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
Ensure a high standard of finish and quality control on all projects
Collaborate with the production and design teams to meet deadlines
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bench Joiner (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Skilled in using hand and power tools as well as woodworking machinery
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
NVQ Level 2/3 in Joinery or equivalent qualification (preferred)

Job Vacancy: Wood Machine Operative

About the Role:
We are looking for someone to work in our workshop and operate several machines. You’ll be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of woodworking machinery to produce high-quality timber components used in bespoke joinery and/or production work.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working with wood.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate wood machinery such as crosscut saws, spindle moulders, planers, thicknessers, and straight line edge machine
Read and work from technical drawings and job specifications
Perform regular checks and maintenance on machines to ensure safe and efficient operation
Monitor output for quality and accuracy, making adjustments where needed
Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience operating woodworking machinery in a production or workshop setting
Strong understanding of timber types and machining processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or cutting lists
Awareness of safe working practices and machine guarding
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
Good timekeeping, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
