Size Selection Advice

To help you achieve your required finished dimensions, we recommend the following:

If your desired planed finish is 100mm wide, select a sawn board at least 10mm wider to allow for accurate planing.

Wider hardwood boards may be more susceptible to cupping or twisting, so it’s essential to add 10–15mm to your finished thickness requirement when choosing your rough sawn timber. This makes sure you can machine the board to an even, stable final size.
