G&S Specialist Timber import specially selected stocks of timber direct from highly respected mills in Germany, France and North America, all of which produce fully certified timber.

All of our North American timber is 1st grade FAS1 so we only offer the best; there are no second or third grades mixed in. Large stocks of both Prime grade and Character grade European oak are stored under fully insulated conditions in our purpose built warehouse. You are most welcome to visit, see the quality first hand and to pick your order. Please contact first before visiting to make sure there will be someone available to help you.

Our stocks of kiln dried hardwood change all the time. Regular deliveries of carefully selected oak from France maintain stock levels and ensure availability. We stock superior grade French oak boules up to 16’ long ensuring colour matching, character grade, waney edged, square edged, random widths and pulled widths.

Waney Edged Timber

Due to mother nature, waney edged boards do not come in standard sizes! Consequently the best way to order waney edge timber is via the Request a quote page. Simply fill in the brief contact details and send your requirements and we will work out a delivered price for you.

Square-Edged Planking

G&S carry large stocks of square Edged Hardwoods both PEFC and FSC® certified. This is the only way you can be sure timber has come from a truly sustainable source and approved chain of custody. G&S have several long-standing relationships with mills that have always supplied well-seasoned high quality hardwoods.
