The heartwood is dark chocolate brown, typically used for gunstocks, high quality furniture, flooring, carving and turning. It is easy to turn and will take a good finish.

• All our bowl blanks are supplied sawn with the edge sealed with hot wax to reduce the chance of the wood absorbing moisture if stored in damp conditions.
