Robert Sorby ½” Spindlemaster
The Spindlemaster can be used to plane, bead, cove and trim end grain. Its enhanced tip, shear cutting action and highly polished bevel combine to produce a very fine finish on all types of wood even the softest woods like pine -finer than 400 grit paper. It sales through knots and other imperfections as if they were not there.
Sharpening is straightforward, simply hone across the flat top face to keep it in tip-top condition. The bevel is effectively self-polishing as a result of its contact with the workpiece.
